| Dynamic Stillness Steve Roach 2009 Projekt PRO228 (CD) – 2-CD, now shipping! Reviewed by MusicTAPDYNAMIC STILLNESS is a vast new work that has progressed over the past three years, evolving in its own time alongside the many other releases that were created and released during this period. The opening for these pieces was accessed through long periods of solitude at Steve's high desert studio and beyond. This environment was essential for informing the inner breath of this work and revealing a mastery within the art of original sound creation, bold harmonic structures, silence and sonic space. DYNAMIC STILLNESS reaches into a realm of amorphous soundworlds filled with a sense of unresolved expansion and mystery, blooming into cloudlike form.

| Spirit Dome - Live Archive Steve Roach, Vidna Obmana 2009 Projekt PRO225 (CD)SPIRIT DOME returns with a perfect companion, LIVE ARCHIVE. Two out-of-print releases from this acclaimed ambient duo are brought together in this value-priced 2-CD release. Living proof of the power of live performance, these recordings are so immediate and engaging it would be easy to assume they were crafted over months in the studio. LIVE ARCHIVE, from their 1997 tour, serves as a natural complement to 2004's SPIRIT DOME, recorded live to stereo master in one take in a studio-like environment. LIVE ARCHIVE was originally released as a small run on the Groove label in Holland, and has been out of print for several years.

| Nada Terma Steve Roach, Byron Metcalf, Mark Seelig 2008 Projekt PRO222 (CD) Reviewed by e/i magazine, Electroambient Space, Musique Machine, Sonic CuriosityNADA TERMA merges the boundaries of ambient, world music and sacred-meditative styles. On NADA TERMA (translated as "discovering spiritual treasures through the world of sound") East Indian tonalities blend with Sufi-like trance percussion immersed in atmospheres, drifts and drones, arriving at a state of relaxed, focused awareness. The continuously-woven 73-minute piece is sequenced into seven discrete segments, perfect for any listener looking for extended states of awareness, creative enhancement, yoga, bodywork, and deep listening.
Following upon the groundbreaking work of 2006's MANTRAM, NADA TERMA is the second Projekt collaboration between Arizona's Steve Roach and Byron Metcalf with Germany's Mark Seelig. On NADA TERMA they reach deeper into the mystical / spiritual realm, presenting a blend of diverse worlds skillfully combined in an organic fashion. Deep-trance frame drums, clay pots and percussion meet with harmonic overtone vocals (akin to Tuvan throat singers) and the yearning sounds of the stringed Indian Dilruba, and East Indian bansuri flute, bringing a melodic and spiritual-contemplative highlight to the release. All of this exists within an enigmatic world of shadow and shifting light developed by way of artful enhancements and processing of the acoustic instruments. These complements are part of a constant, slowly breathing subtext of drones and atmospheres in which the entire experience lives.

magnify | Empetus 2-CD Collectors Edition Steve Roach 2008 Projekt PRO218 (CD) Reviewed by e/i magazine, MusicTAP, Musique Machine, Sonic CuriosityThe rights to Steve's 1986 release Empetus reverted back to him, and this along with some recently discovered "lost pieces" inspired a 2-CD Collectors Edition. The second disc, "The Early Years", features two amazing long-form sequencer pieces circa 1982. The first piece, "Harmonia Mundi" was recorded live in the L.A.-based Timeroom with Swiss-born electronic musician Thomas Ronkin. At 45 minutes, this is one of the more possessed and intense analog sequencer trance pieces you're likely to hear. "Release" is a 24-minute solo statement of emotion and energy connected to the early years of Steve's evolution in sound, harkening to NOW and TRAVELER. By the time Empetus was released, the approach of these longer German School styles were morphing into a new sound heard on Empetus and beyond.

| A Deeper Silence Steve Roach 2008 Timeroom Editions 19 (CD) Reviewed by e/i magazine, Electroambient Space, Sonic Curiosity, Sonic ImmersionThis new long-form zone billows out like a big sigh of time, breathing steady and strong. Minimal and infinite in its essence, like all of Steve's long-form zones this is a functional soundworld specifically created to enhance the atmosphere of your personal sanctuary, your living environment and beyond. Lower volume playback increases the potency. This sound space serves as a kind of portal to states of subtle awareness, and is perfect for the support of deeper sleeping as well.

| Luminosity Jeffrey Koepper 2009 Air Space Records (CD) Reviewed by Electroambient SpaceThis fourth solo release from electronic artist Jeffrey Koepper presents a more contempletive aspect of his warm analog synth-based sound creations. Delicate unfolding slow to mid-tempo melodic patterns create a meditative symmetry, while graceful harmonic textures intermix with the flow. The total effect is one of peaceful reflection.

| Earthlight David Parsons 2008 Fortuna/Celestial Harmonies 13231 (CD) Reviewed by e/i Magazine / Audio Verite"Over his past few releases, New Zealand veteran electronic composer David Parsons has deliberately been refining his electronic composition approach and overall sound sense, drawing from a keen awareness of tone and nuance and a sense of inner and outer spaces in balance. This awareness has developed over many years from both pure electronic music explorations and a deep connection to the music of south Asia. Having traveled extensively through India, Thailand, Indonesia and beyond, recording the indigenous music from these cultures, his many diverse recordings are featured on the Celestial Harmonies label. David's years of experience and the understanding drawn from these acoustic realms has infused EARTHLIGHT in a deep and powerful way."

| Lapis Ensemble Lapis Ensemble 2008 LP11 (CD)This amazing debut release presents a unique and totally original expression of rarified mystic states. The sense of a sacred ceremony occurring at the site of the Oracle of Delphi or some unknown sacred site in the ancient past or distant future is conjured up at once. The best part of this etheric encounter is how it creates a palpable experience of Sacred Space. On each play of the CD, the spaces seems to appear and recede to places that live beyond the recorded medium. A must-have for deep listeners looking for deep spaces for renewal and reflection. Mastering and sonic enhancement by Steve Roach.
