Dreaming Now, Then:
A Gathering of the Tribes in Tucson Special Invitation For Out-of-Town Guests A fter traveling around the country in 1996, Steve is looking forward to bringing his sound back to the land that has most often inspired it, the Sonoran desert. He considers Tucson's Pima Community College Proscenium Theater to be "a perfect, intimate setting with outstanding acoustics and atmosphere, elements that are vital to the most powerful presentation of this type of music." The March 1 concert will feature selections from previous albums, pieces composed especially for live performance and music from Roach's latest release Cavern of Sirens, his second collaboration with Vidna Obmana on Projekt Records. Sam Rosenthal, owner of Projekt, will travel to Tucson for the event, along with a number of other Roach enthusiasts from around the country who have already made plans to join in on this unique weekend of music and comradery in the desert. Immediately after the concert, out-of-town guests are invited to a new release party for Cavern of Sirens, hosted by Projekt Records, at Presidio Grill's Metro Room on East Speedway. The timing is especially auspicious that same night Vidna Obmana will also be performing music from Cavern of Sirens during his own concert in the Netherlands. Other Tucson events are also in the works during the weekend of the concert.
