Steve Roach was invited to a create and perform a four-hour soundworld environment as part of the opening night of Yoko Ono's retrospective at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Over her prolific 40-year career, Ono has embraced a wide range of media, defying traditional boundaries and creating new forms of artistic expression. To help celebrate the event, Steve was joined by light projection artist Lynn Augstein to create a sensory experience within a small theater at SFMOMA. Attendees of the opening were bathed within a sound and light chamber environment, complete with subtle aromatherapy, offering a moment of repose during the course of evening.
